About

I support families in strengthening communication, clarifying boundaries, and creating healthier patterns of connection.

Watching your child struggle can be overwhelming and heartbreaking. When children or teens are withdrawing, acting out, having difficulty with peers, or struggling at school, parents and caregivers often feel unsure of what to do next. Reaching out for support can be a meaningful first step toward helping your child—and your family—feel more connected and balanced.

Hi, I’m Rachel, a licensed psychotherapist working with children, adolescents, and families. I have experience supporting individuals and families through challenges such as trauma, loss, life transitions, and relationship struggles. Before opening my private practice, I worked in community mental health and school-based settings, and I continue to provide clinical supervision at an outpatient clinic. I earned my master’s degree from Simmons University in 2013.

My approach is relational, collaborative, and integrative. I draw from psychodynamic, systems, and attachment-based theories, along with practical strategies from cognitive behavioral (CBT) and dialectical behavioral (DBT) therapies and mindfulness practices. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is central to my work, as trust and safety are essential for meaningful change.

Family therapy is a core part of my practice. Using a structural family therapy approach, I support families in strengthening communication, clarifying boundaries, and creating healthier patterns of connection. With children and teens, therapy may include talk, play, expressive arts, and parent guidance, tailored to each child’s developmental needs. When helpful, I collaborate with teachers, pediatricians, and other providers to ensure comprehensive care.

I believe healing and growth happen through connection, insight, and collaboration. I strive to offer care that is compassionate, culturally responsive, and grounded in respect for each family’s identities and lived experiences.

If you’re wondering whether therapy might be a good fit for your child or family, I invite you to reach out to schedule a consultation. I’m happy to answer questions and explore how we might work together.
